VIVENZO carried 62.5kg to victory in track record time at Gordonvale on Saturday.

The consistent gelding had been building towards a fifth career win, having performed with great credit in his three previous runs, and the decision to extend his stay in north Queensland paid dividends with a tough display under Nor Yadi.  

The 6YO was making his 33^rd career start in the Benchmark 60 Handicap (1360m), and he showed no signs of slowing down with a sharp turn of foot to score by a length.   

Victory took his career earnings to $134,390, and he has proved a very shrewd purchase after his owners paid just $14,000 for the son of Written Tycoon through the 2021 Inglis Online Sale.

He will now be targeted at the Innisfail Cup (2000m) in a fortnight's time, many congratulations to his ownership group: Mr M J Robertson, Mr R R McAnulty, Cheers & Beers and Golf Kings Racing.
