DRAGON SONG made the trip to Warwick a successful one when she scored a tough win on Tuesday.

The mare went into the $20,000 contest off the back of an impressive placing at Ipswich at her last start, and the step up to 1500m proved pivotal as she ground out a determined win under Anthony Allen, who completed a treble.

DRAGON SONG sat close to the speed throughout, before Allen took the initiative in the straight. The pair hit the lead 200m from home, and whilst DRAGON SONG was under siege late on she repelled the challenge to claim a well-earned win which took her earnings past $60,000.

With two wins and four minor placings to her name, the daughter of Worthy Cause is starting to hit her straps for the team at Dovedeen.
